The purpose of this project is to enhance understanding of the Upper Sustut River Watershed and apply this knowledge to promote Tsay Keh Dene-led stewardship of the watershed and its fisheries resources. The Upper Sustut River Watershed Strategy will also involve in-depth climate monitoring to predict future hydrological and thermal regimes, enabling the implementation of specific stewardship actions to protect and mitigate against the effects of climate change in this unique, high-elevation salmon-bearing watershed.
