The project will support two Indigenous-led salmon population and habitat initiatives for the Gitanyow Hereditary Chiefs in the Nass Watershed. Part of the project funding is supporting restoration and effectiveness monitoring on the Hanna and Tintina Creeks; this work supports ongoing beaver dam management, monitoring of previous restoration activities for fish passage, maintenance of trails to access the creek, aerial assessments of the watershed, and ongoing stream hydrology monitoring work. The second part of the project funding is supporting field investigations and updated engineering and design plans to improve fish passage at Cranberry Falls.
